About

Prathamesh Nakhare

I am friends with the coolest nerds and awesome people. My first camping experience was with Sanket Shekdar in 2013. I have never looked back since a camping trip near Bhandardara. Since then we have gone to Anjaneri, Amboli,  Gagapur dam along with god knows how many others. Other than camping, I love to go on road trips, play board games and host house parties

A die-hard Harry Potter fan who loves to dance. I am the guy with loads of energy and fun though sometimes I throw tantrums too, ask anyone.

I am an avid bike rider, fellow camper, and one of the main conspirators to create Wildtents. Being from Nashik, nature was always nearby and that’s how my love for the outdoors began. My first camping in Bhandardara was one of the best outdoor experiences that made me fall in love with this place. Sitting by the campfire, barbequing with friends, and stargazing at night are a few of the fun activities camping allows me. When not camping, I am out with my bike to places near Pune, unknown beaches of Konkan, or having an awesome house party with my mates.

I wanted to create Wildtents as a platform to inform more people about camping, road trips, budget stays, bike rides, and share my experiences. So, the next time you have a long weekend, pick any of the locations we have visited and experience an awesome outdoor place!

Dental Technician by profession and an adventurer at heart. As a kid I used to go camping at my uncle’s farm which I loved. A Cool breeze with mountain water bodies, camp fires, friends, family and good food is my idea of holiday. Being in the medical field it’s difficult to go out for a long holiday, but camping is something that can be done on any weekend. It’s the perfect getaway, be with nature, get some fresh air and reset before the work week starts.

I started trekking in the Sahyadris when I was 12 years old. Even before that, I used to go climb small hills. The adrenaline rush from the physical effort and the view from the top of hills was always what called me to hiking/trekking and camping. After 10th grade, I along with 2 friends went for an overnight trek just by ourselves and have been doing that for the last 25+ years now. Now a day’s with bad knees, it’s more driving than trekking ;).

A love of driving and an opportunity to go off-road is another reason why camping has always been fun! Camping trips now are less hard work and more of a getaway from city life. Being around water with friends and family is one of the most innocent joys that one can experience at camping. The wildlife which is rare in an urban environment is another attraction. Beautiful birds and insects which we miss in the city are more noticeable and the rare sighting of a fox or a hare is another reason why I love camping.

The most I love about camping is the smell of a campfire. Loved ones sitting around talking, listening to music, and the night sky full of stars and seeing a meteor streak by bringing a twinkle in my eye.
